Senior Data Engineer
Senior Data Engineer role building and scaling the data infrastructure for Nansen's onchain analytics product. The role sits on the data engineering team with a path to Engineering Manager within 12-18 months for the right candidate.
What you'll do
- Design and scale data pipelines and infrastructure in ClickHouse and Postgres
- Process terabytes of streaming and batch data daily for 500M+ addresses
- Collaborate with researchers, engineers, and product to model and productize data
- Own data quality, reliability, and observability end-to-end
- Mentor data engineers and raise technical standards
What they're looking for
- Proven experience shipping and scaling high-performance data systems
- Deep expertise in SQL and Python and hands-on dbt, ClickHouse, Postgres
- Strong understanding of streaming data architectures at scale
- Experience across ingestion, transformation, storage, modeling, serving
- Familiarity with Cursor, Claude Code, and MCPs
